How this calculator works
It applies the North Carolina Title Insurance Rating Bureau schedule effective February 1, 2026: a tiered rate per $1,000 of coverage with a $56 minimum, a flat $28.50 lender's policy when it is issued with an owner's policy, 50% reissue rates up to a prior policy amount, and the listed surcharges and endorsement charges. Nothing else is added.
North Carolina title insurance rates are uniform for members of the Rating Bureau, and the rate schedules are filed with the North Carolina Department of Insurance. NC Department of Insurance, Title Insurance The manual states that its rates apply to any policy insuring land in North Carolina, wherever the policy is issued, and that they do not include charges for title search, examination, closing or escrow services, which are additional.
